Inspiring Waterfalls of the Right Hand Fork

Yesterday I spent a couple of hours with my camera at the small, but beautiful waterfalls in the lower stretches of the Right Hand Fork of the Logan River. Right now is kind of between seasons for the best outdoor photos, but I have been blessed to see beauty in all things and at all times. Sometimes we have to look a little harder and a little longer and sometimes we have to recognize beauty and meaning in things that don't normally stand out. Often the words of a scripture, a quote, or a song come to mind and lend meaning to the beauties that surround us. While experimenting with different camera settings and marveling at the significance and beauty of even a small stream, the words of this Garth Brooks song came to my mind.
You know a dream is like a river
Ever changing as it flows
And the dreamer's just the vessel
That must follow where it goes
Trying to learn from what's behind you
And never knowing what's in store
Makes each day a constant battle
Just to stay between the shores.
(chorus)
And I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry.
Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
'Til what we put off 'til tomorrow
Has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline
And say you're satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance the tide.
And I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry.
And there's bound to be rough waters
And I know I'll take some falls
But with the good Lord as my captain
I can make it through them all.
Yes I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind
These waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination
If I never try
So I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry.
Yes, I will sail my vessel
'Til the river runs dry
'Til the river runs dry
