October Gandeur

This time of year I'm always looking is always so beautiful. The sky is clear. The fall colors are in their full majesty in many places, in the mountains as well as in the valley. I've lived here long enough now, that I've photographed most of the more common places, but there seems to be an unending stream of changes in color, in cloud formations, stages of growth, shadows, reflections, clear streams and rivers and the movement of all of these things. human interaction etc.I marvel every day at the beauty that surrounds us and give thanks for nature's infinite variety and the bounteous harvests we depend on for our sustenance. The Maker certain shows his majesty and power and especially His love for His children. Let's look around us and never forget who we are and why we are here. Then give thanks!!

Date Night with My Peach

Monday Date Night: Tonight I took my sweetheart and we drove over to the big city of Collinston to watch a play in the Old Barn Community Theater. It was a first for us. The play was "Steel Magnolias" . I remember laughing with Iris when we watched the movie. The play tonight was exceptionally well cast and performed, and yes, we laughed a lot. I couldn't help but think, that the only casting of this play that might be better would be if Iris and her sisters, Linda and Sandra, and their cousin Sylvia were playing the parts. I laugh just thinking about it. We had a great time and will most likely go there again before too long.

Mason, always reaching out to help others.

Mason is such a wonderful example to others, never complaining and always willing to help others. We are so blessed to his grandparents. If every one had more of Mason's innate goodness, what a wonderful world this would be.

With Our Chinese Friends at the Logan Temple

Giving our friends from China and Taiwan a tour of the grounds at the Logan Temple and answering questions was a delightful and inspiring experience. We are very grateful for the restored gospel, for the temples, for the concept that families can be together forever through faith, and by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel, performed by those who have been ordained of God. We are grateful for the opportunity we will have this weekend to hear from the prophets and apostles of God as they teach us during the upcoming General Conference. Some of our wonderful Chinese friends will be watching General Conference this time. We pray that they and all of us will feel the Spirit as we listen to the words God wants us to hear as spoken by His chosen prophets and apostles. We are so blessed. May we all listen and learn, and then go forth with greater resolve to live as we should and share what we know.
