....."My noonday walks He will attend, And all my silent midnight hours defend."
On Monday I decided to get my exercise the old fashioned way. I went over to the mouth of Providence Canyon and hiked all the way up to the waterfall. That is about ten miles round trip, so It was nearly as exerting as it was invigorating. There were spectacular beauties all around. When I arrived at the waterfall, I decided to climb up to a spot near the top of the waterfall for a little better angle for a photograph. While I was perched up there the same strong wind came that caused so much damage and tragedy around the area that same afternoon. I found myself saying a prayer that the winds would quickly subside and that I would be able to make it off the hillside and back home again safely. The wind died down just as quickly as it arose without any incident. I always try to be very careful, especially when I am alone, but one never knows exactly when some freak of nature could hit. This particular wind event brought with it an all to vivid reminder of the capriciousness and power of nature. For me, at least this time, everything turned out great. I got my exercise, had time alone to ponder important things, spoke with my Heavenly Father, and got some rather amazing pictures of the wonders He has created for us all to see and enjoy. Feeling grateful for so much goodness.
