Family Christmas Party 2014

It was so good to get most of the family together again for our Family Christmas Party. All of them made it except for Philip and his family, who live in Pueblo, Colorado. We missed them, but we were very happy to get the rest of us together, especially since Jason and Rene and their family will soon be moving to New England (New Hampshire). Both have jobs there and will no doubt be great contributors to their new state and community. We will miss them, but know they will
do what is best for their family. We had a lot of fun and I even made a fool of myself a bit. The rest of the family seemed to like it, at least they laughed. That can be done in two different ways. Not quite sure which it was. We were able to hold a little skype session with Tanner, who is in the Marines and away from home right now. We missed our two missionaries as well, Addison, Alison's son who is serving in the New York Rochester Mission and Jared and Shana's daughter, Kinsey, who is serving in Sweden. She will be finished and coming home on December 30th. We are looking forward to that. She will be back in Aggieland five days later, Yippee, We appreciate Ryan and Samantha and their sweet family for letting us celebrate together in their beautiful and spacious home. It just wouldn't have been the same in our "little cottage." Thanks to all who came and those whose hearts were there as well!! God has been good to us.
WE LOVE YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS.
Below are a few pictures of what keeps us ticking, our family. We love each and every one of them so very much and glad we can be apart of their lives

Sharing the Christmas Story with our Chinese Friends

We had the wonderful opportunity tonight to share The Christmas Story with several of our Chinese friends who had never really heard this story before. They were anxious to learn of our beliefs and to feel of the Spirit which was present as we told the Story of the First Christmas. We are so blessed to meet with these wonderful people each week and to share with them the knowledge, that we have that "He is the Gift" and the real reason we can have true joy and hope for a better life now and a glorious eternity with those we love so dearly. Truly, "God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Below are a few of pictures taken of our experience this evening.

Baptisms at the Logan Temple

We just came from the Logan Temple where we had the opportunity to be involved in doing proxy baptisms and confirmations. Jason did the baptizing. Megan and Maddie, were the ones being baptized, I got to serve as a witness and participate along with Jason in the confirmation ordinances. Iris and I were able to observe all of the ordinances being performed. The Spirit was definitely present and it was a great blessing for all of us to be together and involved in this important work for some of our deceased people we were able to locate on the family tree.. Jason and his girls want to do this often and in as many temples as they can before they move back east to New Hampshire. Megan and Maddie were so beautiful dressed in white and in the temple.
Another sweet granddaughter, Ada, had been there earlier in the morning, like about 5:30 or 6:00 AM. She went with the girls from her ward. We are very pleased that those who are old enough want to go to the temple and do so quite often. They all are blessed and will be watched over and protected because of their unselfish service. We love all of our grandchildren and are honored to be their grandparents. Below are a couple of pictures to remind us of this special day and the opportunity to serve.

Sharing His Gift to All

He is the Gift! We have the opportunity to help others receive the Gift. This can be done in many ways. Today was a day of sharing the special Gift made possible by our loving Savior, whose birthday we celebrate at this special season of the year.
Below are some of the people we worked with and for today. A Logan man brought his Chinese wife to work on family history tonight. We are indeed blessed to live when we do and to have what we have. Small beginnings in China. A marvelous work and a wonder ahead.
